What is ACDF Surgery?
ACDF surgery is short for Anterior Cervical Discectomy and Fusion (ACDF). This procedure is a type of cervical spine surgery from the front (anterior) of the neck (cervical) that often successfully addresses spinal symptoms with chronic pain in the neck due to a problem with the discs. An ACDF surgery consists of removing the damaged disc, adding a spacer between the vertebrae, and growing bone between the vertebrae above and below to stop motion and fuse it in place.
ACDF Surgery At ONZ Spine:
At ONZ Spine, we only perform ACDF surgery as a last resort after exhausting all other possible motion preservation surgical options such as Artificial Disc Replacement.
